Herald Square is also confirmed to return in 2026 without a public date-by-date schedule yet. Do not copy 2025 market calendars into a 2026 trip.

Bryant Park is the strongest confirmed early-season anchor
Bryant Park’s Holiday Shops are confirmed for October 28, 2026 through January 3, 2027. The current official Winter Village page lists Monday through Friday hours of 11 a.m.–8 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday hours of 10 a.m.–8 p.m.
The Shops are part of Winter Village, so this is the easiest market to combine with skating, the New York Public Library, Fifth Avenue and Grand Central. The 2026 vendor directory is still marked as coming soon, so do not publish a copied 2025 vendor list as current.
If shopping matters more than atmosphere, go earlier in the day; peak evening periods are better for holiday energy but worse for browsing.
Columbus Circle currently has the clearest December Urbanspace schedule
Urbanspace’s official Columbus Circle 2026 vendor portal lists December 1 through December 31, 2026. It currently gives Monday–Thursday hours of 11 a.m.–7 p.m. and Friday–Sunday hours of 10 a.m.–8 p.m.
The public Columbus Circle market page still says the market is closed for the previous season and will return in 2026, so treat the vendor portal as the current operational source and recheck the public page before your trip in case visitor-facing holiday exceptions are added.
Columbus Circle makes the most sense when your day already includes Central Park, Lincoln Center, the Upper West Side or a Midtown west-side route.
Union Square is confirmed for 2026, but exact public dates are not yet posted
Urbanspace’s Union Square public page says the Holiday Market will be back in 2026. Its current vendor page describes the market timeline as mid-November through Christmas and says specific market hours are still TBD.
That is enough to confirm the season, but not enough to publish a precise opening day, closing day or daily visitor schedule. Use the official Union Square market page for the final dates once Urbanspace posts them.
Do not substitute the 2025 opening date just because the 2026 market is confirmed.
Herald Square is also returning, with the public calendar still pending
Urbanspace lists Herald Holiday Market among its 2026 holiday markets and the current Herald Square page says it will be back in 2026.
The visitor-facing page does not yet publish exact 2026 dates or hours. Keep Herald Square as a convenient Midtown option rather than building a fixed itinerary around an unconfirmed opening schedule.
You do not need to visit every holiday market
Bryant Park, Union Square, Columbus Circle and Herald Square overlap in what they offer: gift kiosks, food, seasonal atmosphere and dense pedestrian crowds. The value comes from pairing the right market with the neighborhood, not from checking four similar boxes.
Bryant Park fits Midtown East/Fifth Avenue. Union Square fits Flatiron, Gramercy and Greenwich Village. Columbus Circle fits Central Park and the Upper West Side. Herald Square fits Macy’s, Penn Station and central Midtown.
For most visitors, one or two markets chosen by geography is a better use of time than a four-market checklist.
