About NYC Dayline
NYC Dayline is an independent New York City publication built to make the city easier to understand, plan and use — for visitors and for people who live here.
What we publish
NYC Dayline combines evergreen city guides with timely city information, events, transportation guidance and practical tools. The goal is not to publish the most pages. It is to make each page useful enough to answer a real New York question.
- Neighborhood and borough guides
- Things to do and practical itineraries
- Food and travel planning
- Transportation and airport guides
- NYC Today and city updates
- Cost calculators and planning tools
Who the site is for
The site is written for both travelers and New Yorkers. Visitors need help making decisions quickly; residents need useful local information without tourist filler. We organize the site so both audiences can move from a broad city question into a borough, neighborhood or practical tool.
Why all five boroughs matter
New York City is larger than Manhattan. NYC Dayline is intentionally building coverage across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island instead of treating the outer boroughs as optional add-ons.
How the site is being built
NYC Dayline uses structured content, public information sources and editorial systems to keep routine information maintainable. Automation can help with collection and organization, but published pages are designed around original structure, clear sourcing and usefulness rather than copying other publications.
