June 2027 has long daylight and strong outdoor potential, but it also contains several confirmed local calendar anchors. NYC public schools have a Clerical Day on June 8 and Anniversary Day on June 10. The June Regents period runs June 15–25, but the State exam schedule is more specific: exams are scheduled June 15–17 and June 21–24, while June 18 is the observed Juneteenth holiday/rating day and June 25 is a rating day with no State Regents examinations. June 8: Clerical Day affects many NYC public-school students
NYCPS lists Tuesday, June 8 as Clerical Day. Students in 3-K, Pre-K, elementary schools, middle schools, K–12 schools and standalone District 75 programs do not attend classes.
Students in grades 9–12 and 6–12 schools in districts 1–32 follow different attendance rules, so this is not a universal systemwide closure.
Families should use the official NYCPS calendar for their exact school type instead of treating June 8 as the same rule for every student.
June 10: Anniversary Day means no student attendance
Thursday, June 10 is Anniversary Day/Chancellor’s Conference Day for staff development. NYCPS says students do not attend school.
For visitors, that can increase weekday demand at family attractions, museums and outdoor destinations compared with a normal Thursday.
If a family attraction uses timed admission, compare June 10 inventory earlier than an ordinary school weekday.
June 15–25: Regents period, with State exams on specific days
NYSED’s final June 2027 Regents schedule places State examinations on Tuesday through Thursday, June 15–17, and Monday through Thursday, June 21–24.

June 18: Juneteenth is observed by New York City
The city holiday calendar lists Friday, June 18, 2027 as the observed Juneteenth holiday.
City offices can close or use holiday operations, while private attractions, restaurants and shops follow their own schedules. Transit, parking and sanitation rules should be checked separately close to the date. NYSED also schedules no State Regents examinations that day.
Do not infer museum or restaurant hours from city-agency closure calendars.
June 18–20: Mets host Washington over Father’s Day weekend
The Mets’ current 2027 schedule announcement lists a three-game home series against the Washington Nationals from Friday, June 18 through Sunday, June 20, which is Father’s Day weekend.

June 28: last day of school for NYC students
NYCPS lists Monday, June 28 as the final day of the 2026–27 school year for students.
That means the city shifts into full summer-family scheduling immediately after, with camps, summer programs and weekday attraction demand becoming more relevant.
For family trips beginning at the end of June, expect a different weekday crowd pattern once school is out.

Heritage of Pride currently says NYC Pride events typically take place between June 15 and June 30.
That annual window is not enough evidence to assign one specific Sunday, route or start time to the 2027 Pride March. Use the current 2027 NYC Pride calendar once Heritage of Pride publishes it and do not copy the 2026 June 28 route or program forward.
A typical annual window is not the same thing as a confirmed current-year event date.
Use June’s long daylight strategically
June is ideal for parks, waterfronts, ferries, bridges and long neighborhood walks, but hotter days can still make an all-outdoor midday plan inefficient.
Use mornings and evenings for the longest exposed segments and keep museums, food and indoor attractions available as midday breaks.
Long daylight is useful only if the itinerary still allows rest, shade and weather flexibility.
