New York Auto Show 2027: Tickets, Hours, Early Access & Javits Planning
The 2027 New York International Auto Show is open to the public from Friday, March 26 through Sunday, April 4 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The current official visitor pages already publish both hours and ticket prices: general admission is $22 for adults 13 and older and $8 for children ages 3–12, while children age 2 and younger enter free with a paid adult. Friday and Saturday Early Access opens at 9 a.m. and currently costs $48 for adults and $18 for children. Because the show crosses from March into April and uses different hours by weekday, choose the exact visit day before building the rest of your itinerary.

The public show runs March 26 through April 4, 2027
The Auto Show’s current FAQ and visitor page both confirm public days from Friday, March 26 through Sunday, April 4, 2027 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
The show therefore spans two calendar months. A March visitor can use opening weekend, while an early-April trip still has public days through Sunday, April 4.
Do not treat the 2027 show as an April-only event; public access begins March 26.
Current general admission is $22 for adults and $8 for children
The official ticket page currently lists general admission at $22 for adults age 13 and older and $8 for children ages 3–12. Children age 2 and younger enter free with a paid adult.
General-admission tickets are valid for entry on any public day and can currently be purchased online or at an onsite self-service kiosk. Prices and availability can still change, so use the live official checkout before relying on a saved screenshot.
For a family, calculate the whole party from the age bands before deciding whether an upgraded admission product is worth it.
Early Access is a separate 9 a.m. Friday/Saturday product
The current 2027 ticket page lists Early Access for Fridays and Saturdays at 9 a.m. The listed price is $48 for adults and $18 for children ages 3–12; children age 2 and younger remain free with a paid adult.
Early Access is currently online-only and is not sold at the onsite kiosks. The benefit is an earlier start than the normal 10 a.m. public opening, not a separate all-day exhibition.
Buy Early Access only if the quieter first hour is worth the premium for your group; otherwise general admission starts at 10 a.m.
Hours change by day of week
The official 2027 schedule lists Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Auto Show explicitly says it is open on Easter Sunday during the 2027 run. Do not assume every public day has the same closing time.
A Friday or Saturday gives the longest standard public window; Sunday closes earlier.
Opening ceremony is Saturday, March 27
The current FAQ lists the official opening-day ribbon cutting for Saturday, March 27, 2027 from 9:30 to 10 a.m. in the Crystal Palace at 35th Street and 11th Avenue.
The visitor page says opening-day festivities begin earlier, while the show floor opens to the general public at 10 a.m.; Early Access ticket holders can enter at 9 a.m.
If the ceremony matters to you, use the official opening-day page again close to March 27 in case event-flow details change.
Expect security screening at the entrance
The Auto Show FAQ says all individuals must pass through a metal detector. It specifically warns visitors not to bring knives, pocketknives, box cutters or other metal items that may be considered dangerous.
Javits is also smoke-free, including cigarettes, e-cigarettes and vaping devices in covered facility areas.
Travel light and remove questionable pocket tools from your bag before heading to Javits.
Use transit as the default Javits plan
The official visitor page recommends mass-transit options including subway, bus, LIRR, Metro-North, NJ Transit, Amtrak and NY Waterway. Javits sits on 11th Avenue between 34th and 40th Streets.
For most Manhattan visitors, the 7 train to 34 St–Hudson Yards followed by a short walk is the simplest subway approach. Check live MTA service before leaving because a fixed ticket or Early Access time makes transit disruption more consequential.
Do not build the day around finding parking near Javits unless driving is genuinely necessary.
The 2027 media schedule is still not final
The Auto Show’s media page confirms March 24–25 as 2027 Media & Industry Days but explicitly says the detailed 2027 media schedule will be available closer to the show and currently links the 2026 schedule only as an example.
This visitor guide therefore does not copy 2026 press-conference times, manufacturer presentations or exhibit schedules into 2027. The public dates, visitor hours and ticket page are the reliable current planning layer.
Treat brand appearances, demos and special-program schedules as date-specific details to recheck closer to the show.
