Protect the best weather for outdoor New York
Early September can still behave like summer. Parks, waterfronts, bridges and long neighborhood walks are more valuable when the forecast is comfortable, while museums, markets and Broadway can absorb a hotter or wetter block.

Labor Day Monday has different parking rules
Labor Day on September 7 is listed by NYC DOT as a major legal holiday. Alternate side parking and parking meter regulations are suspended for the holiday.
That does not erase every curb restriction. Seven-day and “anytime” restrictions can still apply, so read the posted signs and use Parking Today or NYC311 for the same-day status.
Build the three days around geography
