Subway Series 2027: Mets vs. Yankees Dates, Tickets, Citi Field & Yankee Stadium
The 2027 Subway Series has two confirmed three-game weekends. The Yankees visit Citi Field from Friday, May 28 through Sunday, May 30, and the Mets visit Yankee Stadium from Friday, July 16 through Sunday, July 18. The Mets’ official schedule announcement says 2027 game times and promotional details will be announced later, so this guide treats the dates and venues as fixed planning anchors while keeping first pitch, tickets, gates, promotions and same-day transit live.
Three games at Citi Field in Queens.
Three games at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
The Mets say 2027 game times will be announced in the months ahead.
Promotional details were not part of the original 2027 schedule announcement.
Use Mets-Willets Point for Citi Field and 161 St-Yankee Stadium or event-day Metro-North for the Bronx.
May 28–30: the first 2027 Subway Series is at Citi Field
The Mets’ official 2027 schedule announcement lists a three-game home series against the Yankees from Friday, May 28 through Sunday, May 30 at Citi Field.
Treat those dates as confirmed, but use the live Mets schedule for the exact first pitch, gates, ticket inventory and any promotion attached to a specific game. The original schedule release explicitly says game times and promotional details will be announced later.
Choose the date first; do not build a fixed pregame reservation around an unannounced first-pitch time.
July 16–18: the rivalry moves to Yankee Stadium
The Mets then travel to the Bronx for a three-game set against the Yankees from Friday, July 16 through Sunday, July 18. The Mets describe this series as the beginning of their second half of the 2027 season.
The venue changes the transportation and neighborhood plan. Use the current Yankees/MLB schedule for game time, tickets and gate information rather than assuming the Citi Field weekend pattern repeats in July.
A ticket for one venue should never be planned with arrival instructions copied from the other.
Citi Field: build the Queens day around Mets-Willets Point
For Citi Field, the 7 train at Mets-Willets Point is the default subway anchor, and LIRR can also be useful depending on origin and current event service.
Downtown Flushing is a strong food extension, but it is a separate stop from the stadium district. If dinner is part of the plan, leave enough time for the subway movement rather than treating all of Flushing as one walkable venue zone.
Check live 7-train service before leaving for a fixed gate or first-pitch time.
Yankee Stadium: use 161 St or event-day Metro-North
The primary subway stop for Yankee Stadium is 161 St-Yankee Stadium, served by the 4 and B/D lines depending on current service. Metro-North’s Yankees-E 153rd St station can also be useful for some origins and event-day trips.
The Bronx game should be planned as its own neighborhood/transit day rather than as a quick duplicate of the Queens weekend. Recheck MTA and team guidance before departure because event crowds and service work can change the best route.
If you are coming from Grand Central or the regional rail network, compare Metro-North with the subway on the actual game day.
Ticket strategy: start with the official team schedule
Use the Mets’ official ticket/schedule pages for the May games and the Yankees’ official ticket/schedule pages for the July games. Current primary inventory, presales, packages and single-game availability can change between now and 2027.
If you compare resale listings, compare the final checkout total and verify that the ticket transfers through the venue’s accepted mobile-ticket system. Do not treat a screenshot or informal transfer as equivalent to the official mobile ticket.
The safest planning order is official schedule → official ticket inventory → authorized resale comparison if needed.
Do not freeze game times, gate times or giveaways from an early schedule release
The July 2026 schedule announcement establishes the dates and opponents, not every operational detail of a 2027 game day. First-pitch times, promotional items, gate procedures and event-specific policies can be published or changed later.
NYC Dayline will treat those details as live information. Recheck the official team page before making a timed restaurant, airport, theater or interborough transfer depend on an old snapshot.
Dates can be long-range anchors; operations should be checked again close to the game.
Weather can still change a baseball day
Both Subway Series weekends are outdoor baseball events. Rain, severe weather or another operational issue can change game-day timing even after first pitch is published.
Keep the team schedule, weather and transit status available on the day. If a game is delayed or rescheduled, follow MLB/team instructions rather than an older itinerary.
