New York Comic Con 2026: Tickets, Reservations, Badge Activation & Javits Center Guide
New York Comic Con returns to the Javits Center October 8–11, 2026 for its 20th anniversary. The useful planning window is already open: tickets are on sale, the programming schedule is live and reservations opened September 10 for Main Stage and Empire Stage panels, select exhibitor exclusives and some private autographs. NYCC also requires badge activation before entry and before using reservations. As of NYC Dayline’s September 14 check of the official ticket page, Thursday, Friday and Sunday single-day tickets were still listed for sale, while Saturday, 4-Day and VIP tickets were marked sold out. Ticket inventory and pricing can change quickly, so recheck the official page before paying or making travel plans.

Official page showed Saturday, 4-Day and VIP sold out when checked Sep 14; availability can change.
Official FAQ lists this as the expedited-shipping cutoff; international orders use Will Call.
Activate each physical badge before entry and before using reservations.
NYCC 2026 runs October 8–11 at the Javits Center
New York Comic Con’s 20th-anniversary edition runs Thursday, October 8 through Sunday, October 11, 2026 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on Manhattan’s West Side.
The 2026 anniversary theme is Coney Island. The show spans the main Show Floor, Artist Alley, multiple panel rooms, Main Stage and Empire Stage programming, autograph and photo-op areas, brand activations and special feature spaces.
Treat Javits as a campus rather than one room. Build your day around two or three must-do anchors and leave transfer time between halls, stages and autograph areas.
Thursday, Friday and Sunday tickets remain listed — but prices have moved
At NYC Dayline’s September 14 check, the official ticket page listed Thursday at $103.98 and Friday and Sunday at $109.42. Those displayed prices include the ticket cost, service fee and 8.8% sales tax; shipping can still add a separate checkout charge.
The same official page marked Saturday, 4-Day and VIP tickets sold out. Because ticket status and pricing can change through adjustments or new inventory, use the live NYCC ticket page as the purchase source instead of relying on screenshots or third-party resale listings.
If your main goal is one specific guest or panel, confirm that programming date before choosing Thursday, Friday or Sunday merely because a badge is still available.
Reservations opened September 10 — a badge alone does not guarantee the biggest panels
NYCC reservations are separate from buying a badge. The official site says reservations can guarantee a seat for a Main Stage or Empire Stage panel, secure a place in line for certain exhibitor exclusives or unlock selected private autograph opportunities.
The homepage says 2026 reservations went live September 10. For travelers planning around a single high-demand panel, reservation status can matter more than simply owning a day ticket.
NYCC also says Main Stage and Empire Stage rooms are cleared after each panel, so staying in the room from an earlier session is not a workaround for a later reserved panel.
Open your reservation account now, not the morning of the show. Popular slots can be the real bottleneck even when day badges remain available.
Transfer friends’ tickets before they need reservations
NYCC’s current homepage explicitly tells buyers who purchased for friends to transfer those tickets so each attendee can access reservations and other account-linked features.
Each attendee should use the email address associated with the badge assigned to them. If a transferred badge is waiting in My Tickets, the recipient needs to accept it before badge activation.
Do not leave every badge under one purchaser if multiple people need their own panel reservations. Finish transfers while everyone can still verify the correct email address.
Badge activation is required before entry and before using reservations
NYCC requires physical badge activation for 2026. The activation page says the badge must be activated before entering the event and before using connected reservations for panels, exhibitor exclusives or private autograph sessions.
For standard attendee badges, activation runs through My Tickets. The attendee uses the email tied to the badge, enters the 14-digit credential code printed on the badge and repeats the process for every badge assigned to them.
Activate at home when the badge arrives. Do not make venue Wi-Fi, a crowded lobby or a forgotten account password part of your entry plan.
September 14 is an important US shipping deadline
NYCC’s current FAQ says standard US shipping closed August 17 and expedited shipping closes Monday, September 14 at 11:59 p.m. ET. International orders do not ship and instead use Will Call.
The ticket page says orders placed after the mailing window should be handled through Will Call, and the FAQ recommends picking up badges before the show when possible because Thursday Will Call lines can get long.
If you are buying from the U.S. close to Sep 14, read the live checkout and shipping language before assuming a badge will arrive by mail.
Current show hours make Thursday and Sunday different planning days
The official FAQ lists Show Floor hours as 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday. Artist Alley closes at 8 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday.
Panel hours run later on the busiest days: Thursday 10 a.m.–10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.–11 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. A full NYCC day can therefore extend long after the Show Floor closes.
If you have a late Friday or Saturday panel, do not schedule a rigid dinner reservation across town immediately after the Show Floor closes.
The 7 train is the simplest subway anchor for Javits
The Javits Center lists the 7 train at 34 St–Hudson Yards as the subway stop serving the convention center via 11th Avenue. Penn Station is also walkable farther east and connects Amtrak, NJ Transit, LIRR and several subway lines.
For a fixed reservation or autograph time, rail is a safer anchor than relying on a car across Midtown. Check live MTA status before leaving and again before the return trip.
Build at least one extra train or walking interval into arrival time. A reservation is not the place to test a perfect-minute Midtown transfer.
Use the official app as the day-of control panel
NYCC says the 2026 mobile app includes the panel schedule, reminders, guests, exhibitors, Artist Alley, Writers Block, interactive Javits maps plus direct access to reservations and badge activation.
That makes the app more useful than a static saved schedule once room assignments, guests or timing change.
Favorite your must-do panels and guests before entering Javits so you are not rebuilding the day while standing in a crowd.
