Enter the current pass price and the total price of only the attractions you already plan to visit. Compare one traveler price class at a time so adult and child pricing are not silently treated as identical.
Start with the itinerary, not the advertised maximum savings
List the attractions you would buy even if no pass existed, then add their current individual checkout prices. That is the comparison total that matters.
If the pass only wins after adding extra attractions you did not really want, the apparent savings are not useful trip savings.
Compare the same admission tier on both sides
Use the separate-ticket value for the exact experience the pass includes. Statue grounds access is not Crown or Pedestal access, and standard observation-deck admission is not automatically equivalent to a premium sunset or add-on product.
If the access tiers differ, correct the comparison before entering the prices. Otherwise the calculator can overstate the value of the pass.
Compare one traveler price class at a time
The travelers field multiplies one pass price and one separate-ticket total by the number of people paying that same per-person price. It should not be used to pretend adult and child prices are identical.
For a mixed-price family or group, run the calculator once for each relevant price class and add the group results, or first calculate an effective per-person amount that genuinely represents the party.
Reservations and timing can change the practical value
A pass can be cheaper on paper and still be a poor fit if the attractions you care about require reservations that are unavailable for your dates.
Check reservation requirements, pass validity, activation rules and cancellation terms before treating the calculated savings as the final decision.
Convenience has value, but call it convenience
A pass may simplify ticket management even when the dollar totals are close. That can be a legitimate reason to choose it, but it is different from claiming the pass saves money.
