The Met: use the correct step-free entrance
The Met publishes specific accessibility guidance for Fifth Avenue, including step-free entrances and routes through the museum. Its accessibility information also covers wheelchairs, seating and disability-focused programs.
Because The Met is enormous, choose the galleries you care about first and use the museum map to minimize unnecessary movement.
AMNH: entrance choice can change the visit
The American Museum of Natural History publishes detailed accessibility information including accessible entrances and route guidance. Its own visitor resources also distinguish between nearby subway access and the museum’s entrance options.
This is a good example of why the closest subway station name is not automatically the best accessible route to the building.
